ABOUT DR. ADRIAN LING

Dr. Adrian Ling is one of the leading vascular surgeons in Melbourne. He graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2001. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a member of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Vascular Surgery and European Society of Vascular Surgery and an active member of the Senior Medical Staff at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Adrian was born and grew up in Melbourne.  He has great insight and empathy for what it is like to be a patient – following a nasty push-bike accident on his way to lectures as a medical student, Adrian spent several months in hospital and rehabilitation due to multiple spine fractures and temporary paralysis. Consequently, Adrian’s experience as a patient affords him a great understanding of what his patients are experiencing. This is evident in his clear communication and empathetic treatment of his patients.

Adrian works with a dedicated team – his friendly secretarial staff strive to make your appointments as seamless as possible. In addition, experienced, professional and caring nursing staff assist Adrian with his procedures. Furthermore, Adrian works with highly qualified ultrasound radiographers (ultrasonographers), who have been extensively trained in vascular ultrasound – this provides an accurate, high quality and detailed examination of a patient’s arteries and veins. The ultrasound scans are bulk-billed.  Vascular ultrasound appointments are coordinated to occur at the time of a follow-up appointment with Adrian, to save patients the hassle of a separate visit for their ultrasound scan.
